L Racing and William Osler Health Centre Foundation “Crew for a Day” Winner chosen

On Friday June 19th the William Osler Health Centre Foundation hosted the Jet Set Go Gala fundraising evening in support of The Etobicoke General Hospital. The evening was a huge success with over 240 people in attendance contributing support during the evening.

A great time was had by all who attended with silent auctions, raffle draws, great food, entertainment, and dancing provided throughout the gala. One of highlights was the draw for a lucky winner to become a crew member for JL Racing at the Honda Indy Toronto.

The lucky winner was Aman Banwait. Aman and his father Dale will be the guests of JL Racing and The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship for the Honda Indy Toronto July 10th to 12th. JL Racing will outfit Aman in JL Racing crew gear and put him to work as a crew member for JL Racing’s No 92 Saab 93. Aman will have the experience of a lifetime as he will be trackside with JL Racing’s team as they practice, qualify, and race in the Acura Sports Car Challenge.

“This will be something Aman will remember for the rest of his life and we are very excited to have him join us”, said John Lockhart, Team Principal of JL Racing. “We are thrilled to be able to provide such an experience and support the Etobicoke General Hospital and the William Osler Health Centre Foundation. I would like to thank the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship and John Bondar for helping us put together this contest.”

JL Racing will be competing at the Honda Indy Toronto (www.hondaindytoronto.com) in the Acura Sports Car Challenge of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship in the Super Touring division with practice and qualifying on Friday and races Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
